Antique Buermann Daisy Horse BIT, Domed Conchos
This is a rare bit by August Buermann made earlier in his career as a spur maker. This bit is circa 1880s. It features large silver decorative conchos.
The bar of the mouthpiece is marked with his patent on the left and on the right states Hand Forged Steel, both marks are very light as wear has eroded many of the letters but still visible to a degree (see photos).
This bit is a loose jaw with a Cricket, 2 1/2" high port and 7" cheeks. It also has Double Lip/Chin chains with attachments.
This item is in very good condition given its age. One of the conchos has a piece missing which can be seen in the photos.
