Antique Walrus Ivory Walking Stick w/ Lion's Head
Antique walking stick with a carved 5” head of a lion with a serpent in its mouth made out of Walrus ivory. Sterling silver ferrule, well patinated and typical of the Victorian era. This cane is in very good condition. Measures 39.75 inches in length.
This antique does not fall under the African ivory restrictions. This falls under the Marine ivory laws which also limit commercial trade to some extent, but are not in public’s mind like African elephant ivory. This item is not exportable and can only be sold in the U.S.
